About TMC Cheerleading
Welcome to the TMC Cheerleading program! We are so excited to have you! We are absolutely thrilled to start our 2024/2025 season. This is our fifth season of our competition cheer program and third year for our recreational cheer program. Here is some information about both of our cheer experiences.
TMC Recreational Cheerleading- Our Recreational Cheer Program, Cheerleaders will learn the fundamentals of cheerleading. Skills such as Jumps, Choreography, and Stunting will be taught and Tumbling will be incorporated. Recreational Cheer classes do not teach tumbling, we recommend that all Cheerleaders take an additional tumbling class. Classes are split by age (6-17) and skill level (Beginning-Advanced). There are no requirements for these classes. Our Recreational Cheer Teams run during the Fall (August-December) and Spring (January-May) Sessions. Recreational Teams will learn cheerleading routines and perform them at the end of their session. All Cheerleaders will be required to purchase a T-Shirt and Cheerleading Bow for these performances.
TMC Competitive Cheerleading- Our Competitive Cheerleading Teams compete in a program called High School Prep. This program is local to Utah and geared towards those who are going to try out for their High School Cheer teams. Our Competition Teams run for Summer, Fall, and Spring Sessions (June-May). Our Competitive Cheerleading Program is a year long commitment! To be on these teams, TMC holds tryouts. We accept members as young as 3 and as old as 17 onto our Competitive Teams. All Cheerleaders that tryout will make a team! TMC Competitive Cheerleaders are required to take a tumbling class that fits their skill level, alongside their regular cheer practices. Our Teams compete in 4-5 competitions and 2-3 performances throughout their season. Most of our teams compete in a Show Routine that incorporates all aspects of cheerleading into one. All teams are split by age, skill level, and tumbling requirements. TMC tyrouts have been held already and we are now mid-competition season, so it is best to take recreational cheer to prepare for cheer tryouts in May of 2024. Here are some upcoming dates to be aware of for the 2024 season. We are re-branding all teams this year! This will allow us to form teams that are perfectly suited for each cheerleader and their skills. That is why you may have seen some levels now require tumbling and previous cheer experience. We are super excited about this update and that we can offer more opportunities to be on a TMC Competition Cheerleading Team!
