ENROLLMENT FOR SPRING SESSION OPENS DECEMBER 16TH @ 5PM. SPRING SESSION RUNS JANUARY 6TH - MAY 23RD.
CLASSES WILL BE POSTED BELOW VERY SOON, THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE!
Our tumbling program is based around teaching our students proper gymnastic power tumbling techniques. We combine stretching, muscular strength, and endurance while upside down, twisting, and flipping to enable the highest confidence in our students. Our highest principal is ensuring safety and efficiency while tumbling both inside and outside the studio. Most importantly, we value keeping the sport fun and enjoyable for all ages.
Power Tumbling classes- PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS BEFORE ENROLLING FOR A CLASS- students will be evaluated the first day of the session and if they do not have the requirements they will be moved to another level.
Pre-power-This is our most basic level class where students ages 4+ will grasp the fundamentals of the sport (No requirements or experience needed). Students will learn proper techniques and training to be able to build tumbling skills with proper execution. Students will learn and master their forward and backward rolls, handstand holds, cartwheels, bridges, and bridge kick-overs in this class.
Power 1- Requirements for this level: backward roll, handstand, cartwheel with great form, and a bridge kick-over. Students in power 1 will be learning roundoffs, backbend (from a stand), and tick-tocks.
Power 2- Requirements for this level: perfected handstand, roundoff with rebound, backbend kick-over on floor, and a tick-tock on a single foot. Students in power 2 will be learning back walkovers, standing back handsprings, and getting their roundoffs ready to add a back handspring.
Power 3- Requirements for this level: standing back handspring alone on floor, back walkover, and front walkover. Students in power 3 will be learning the basics of running tumbling such as roundoff back handsprings and series back handsprings.
Power 4- Requirements for this level: standing double back handspring, roundoff back handspring and walkovers. Students in power 4 will be learning standing back tucks, roundoff back tucks and perfecting series back handsprings.
Power 5/6- Requirements for this level: standing back tuck off a mat, roundoff back tuck, and 3+ back handsprings in a row from a stand and from a roundoff with great form. Students in power 5 will be learning standing back tucks on floor, and roundoff back handspring back tucks and developing skills to layouts and twists when they are ready.
Back Handspring & Back Tuck Specific Classes- We are so excited to be releasing our new back handspring and back tuck classes! This class will be similar to a clinic where the students in class will spend the entirety of their time working on just one specific skill. We think this will be really helpful for our students because back handsprings and tucks are one of the most technical and time-consuming skills and we believe this will give us the time and space to really nail the skill down to provide a more successful future in tumbling for our athletes. The back handspring class is only eligible for students in power 2 or 3 and the back tuck class is only eligible for students in power 3, 4 or 5 and must be taken in addition to their tumbling class. Tumbling classes provide a more well-rounded skill set which is crucial to their success as a tumbler. We cannot wait to see this class in action, and we have done our best to pair it next to a power tumbling class if you would like to take them back-to-back. You can email us at [email protected] or text us at 801-800-0925 to be registered for this class. These classes are not eligible for signup online as we want to make sure all students meet the requirements and are enrolled for tumbling before enrolling for this additional class.
